After hearing stories again and again of high school kickers and punters not receiving adequate coaching in their specialty areas, and/or players attending camps with 50-150 other players and not getting the individualized attention from the camp directors that they should, Harry and I decided to offer an alternative option for kicker/punters. Having worked together for 21 years, we are certain we can provide what high school kickers and punters are missing in their training regiments and instruction. Working hand in hand with players in both Florida and Alabama, we are in constant contact concerning player instruction, performance progress and communicate regularly concerning the college recruitment process of our student athletes. Jason Powers
Jason Powers operates the kicking program in Birmingham, AL. Powers played college football on the first ACC Championship team at Florida State in 1992 as a kicker and at the University of Alabama-Birmingham from 1993-1995 as a placekicker and punter before playing professionally in the AF2 league for the Birmingham Steeldogs.
Originally from Tampa, Jason has been coaching kickers in Birmingham for the last 7 years. P/K Kicking Specialists in Birmingham has produced 5 all state high school kickers in the last 6 years.
Harry Kayian
Harry Kayian began Kayian Kicking Specialists in 1982 in Tampa. As a former professional placekicker, Kayian worked out for numerous NFL teams including the Washington Redskins, Houston Oilers and New England Patriots. He also signed with the Chicago Blitz of the USFL.
Kayian was hired by Head Coach Ray Perkins to be the kicking coach for the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their 1990 training camp. Harry has coached at several local high schools in Tampa and has coached in several high school All Star games in the Tampa area. Kayian is currently coaching the special teams/kicking game at Tampa Catholic HS.
In addition to coaching kickers and punters, Harry also works with long snappers.
Kayian's Tampa Catholic 2008 team went to the Florida 2A state semifinals. Kayian's Tampa Catholic punter in 2008 was named All State.
